MORNINGSKY
STORMCLAN
WARRIOR
17 MOONS
FEMALE
a petite, long-haired calico female with soft silver-green eyes.
morningsky's maternal instincts, at times, override every other asset that she might be known for, because when it gets down to it she is simply an extremely motherly young cat. despite her youth, this she-cat has a tendency to look after every cat as if they are her own kit, and though she has no children of her own, it seems at times like her entire clan at one time has been nurtured by her caring paw, and belongs to one enormous litter cared for by morningsky. her overprotective, sometimes overbearing nature and ever-watchful eye keeps cats on their toes around her, but her occasionally very wise words and gentle touch has earned the respect of many.
loving as can be, this she-cat could not hold a grudge if her life depended upon it, and in spite of her motherliness, is conflicted with dealing punishments because of her extremely gentle and loving nature. kind and sweet, she delights in giving out compliments and smiles- even if she is feeling down herself, she would do anything to brighten another cat's day.
unfortunately, morningsky finds herself as more of a pessimist than anything regardless of her often peppy nature, because she seems to be perpetually worried. something is always nagging in the back of her mind, even if she can't name it. there's always someone to be concerned for- an apprentice's assessment, a coughing warrior, the rising lake waters, a bad fur day, and so on. it could be anything, from the most monumental event, to the pettiest detail that could concern her. no matter, she's always got stresses of some sort or another on her mind, and because of this she does seem to be a bit of a downer. she hides it well though, with her constant smiling and playful scolding, she seems a shining example of a happy lass.

cleo was morningsky's given name at her birth, on the fringes of the kingdom. her father was the cat who raised her, as a loner reaping prey just outside of where kingdom cats most often strayed to hunt. her mother was, indeed a kingdom cat. a lowly slave who she never encountered after her birth, but her father one day informed her that her mother had passed on after her birth because of health complications- no further detail was ever given. cleo's aunt gave her suckle, as she lived with her brother and had recently miscarried her own litter. though the life these cats lived was a dangerous one, they were rewarded by a life free of government, and roamed the earth on their own accord. it was not an easy life, but they preferred it over the chaos-ridden world of the kingdom cats or the rebels. they kept their noses out of it and were rewarded by relative peace.
unfortunately, when cleo was about 14 moons old and the upheaval was almost drawing to a close, her father was brutally killed when he was caught in a skirmish between the rebels and the bloody paw and was mistaken for a rebel himself. cleo's aunt, who she had always called her mother, had died only several moons before of an illness cleo couldn't figure out how to help. with no one to look after and completely unable to fathom living alone, cleo watched the havoc from the sidelines, lurking with groups of refugees for the latest news, making friends here and there. it was tough and sorrowful for the young lass, but at last things seemed to be clearing up. she attended the forming of the clans, and was struck by the power of the duke's remaining son, who stood tall and proud. she felt she had no choice but to follow his reign, and at once began to make her new life with stormclan. since then, she has taken up a reputation as stormclan's resident mother, fussing after everyone like a mama duck chasing her ducklings. still, she has found friendship in many, and takes comfort living in a large group like a clan.
