Astralsight
Stormclan
Warrior
19 moons
she-cat
Beautiful yet small black and silver striped long haired she cat with grey eyes and numerous scars
Astralsight is very shy, and due to how she was treated it has just gotten worse. Ever since she can remember pain has been a part of her life. Abused by both her parents she learned to keep her head down and rarely speak up. Unfortunately this made her really timid. It also made her extremely easy to startle. She doesn’t feel as if she could trust anyone, and rarely opens up to other cats. Because she had such a hard time being social and making friends, she believes it is her fault that no one likes her. Her beauty is her only redeeming quality. This in a way made things even harder for her, for she never able to accept the help she so desperately needed. She is weak and docile and prone to suicidal thoughts. Since she is such an introvert she had to turn to other things to keep her going. This ended up being the visions she experienced that sometimes contained some truth to them.
She has had these visions ever since she could remember, often they are disturbing and perturb her, she hasn’t told any other cat about them. She prefers it to stay this way. She also seems to have an uncanny ability to sense things that don’t seem to be there. Contributing to this is her hallucinations and episodes of schizophrenia. The voices speak to her often and confuse her at times. Though she prefers to keep them secret from everyone else, she constantly hears them.
The constant abuse from her parents has made her a different cat, and she avoids them as much as possible. They were both royals and therefore felt they could do anything they wished. Including physically and emotionally abuse their only kit. Her personality was smothered by unfortunate circumstances. This scared Astral and she felt she had no choice but to submit to their abuse. The constant depression didn’t help, making her melancholy and sorrowful. Which she usually had good reason to be. She was never a fighter and simply gave up. It was something she felt forced to accept as part of her life. After all her knew her only purpose was to breed and have kits for the duke Now she is broken and despondent. Because she has been hurt and used so much.
She simply keeps to herself, never drawing unwanted attention, while rarely talking. The coping strategy insures Telling herself she doesn’t need anyone else to make her happy. Inside she silently hates them all. Thinking that no one cares since they all act like she is invisible and she might as well be. Astral is bitter and unhappy. Hating her life and yet she is scared to death. What she needs is someone who actually cares and is willing to help her, though she is unlikely to find that in her position.
As a mother she dedicates all her facilities to her kits, being overprotective to the point that she neglects to take care of herself. It is a struggle for her and though she may not be the best mother Astralsight has a love for her kitten that only a mother could know. Despite the visions and hallucinations she strives to function and manage the duties required when one has tiny paws constantly crawling around. As she tends to be a little scatterbrained and can get distracted it is possible for her to forget about them. Not that they suffered any horribly adverse affects from their mother’s insanity.

Astral was born into the royals, the Duke’s court where her fate should have been a pampered and easy life. Unfortunately she was born to cruel parents, Lord Abdesius and Lady Milyra, who never wanted her and made her life absolutely miserable. The she-cat was treated no better than a slave. They led her to believe she was worthless and deserved the liberal beatings her father so joyfully inflicted upon her. The weak she cat had no choice but to submit to the circumstances. Ever since she could remember it was the outcome she anticipated. The pain and nightmarish treatment began to take its toll.
The two royals kept a strict eye on their offspring, hardly letting her out. Careful to keep their vices a secret from the rest of the world. They were secure in the knowledge that Astral would never reveal their secret, for they threatened to kill her if she so much as thought about telling another cat. She grew up under their iron paws and watchful eyes. Still bearing the scars from their claws, though her fur hides it well. It was well known by her that she would become a royal nurse. Her mother had told her numerous times, there was never another option and Astral learned quickly what it would mean for her. It is your destiny, for you are beautiful and fit for nothing else Lady Milyra had told her once. She believed at that time it would be better than continuing living with a hell created by the only cats she knew. She felt somewhat eager to serve the Duke, even if it meant she would bear kits. The prospect was appealing to a small kit who had only known pain.
Taken away from her parents Astral was now a possession of the court and the duke. She spent her days caring for the royal kits and waiting for the time when she would bear her own. The hallucinations and voices made it a hard burden to bear, and when the rumors started of the rebellion she began she to experience visions of the duke dying, running away, being overthrown. It was horrifying and she of course kept quiet about it, at least when the she-cat wasn’t whispering back to the voices.
Then there was the pregnancy, Astral hardly remembered how it happened, but happen it did. The beautiful nurse ended up carrying her kits right before the war, its amazing the poor thing was even able to stay healthy enough to carry her kits full term. After, she was alone, confused, having only a minimalistic idea of how to take care of her three kittens. Someone the nurse pulled through, made it through the war, the hallucinations became worse at this time. So bad in fact that there were blocks of time completely erased from memory. After that clans, the voices directed her to storm so that was where she ended up dragging her kits, Jasper, and Ametrine along with her.
